BEST Thessaloniki is hosting this year a multi-day academic seminar in an international setting, which will take place from March 31st to April 8th. The title of this year’s seminar is “Sustainable Urban Development: Shaping the Cities of Tomorrow” and is essentially related to “Smart” and Sustainable Cities.

  • When exactly will it be held?

The lectures will begin on Monday 1 April and will continue until Friday 5 April. Through the week, in addition to lectures, educational visits to companies will be held within the framework of the programme.

  • Why should I register, what do I have to gain?
  1. STEM Students are given the opportunity to broaden their knowledge horizons in technological subjects. Acquisition of new knowledge on the subject of their studies, enhancing their educational competence.
  2. Experience of collaboration in a multicultural environment. There will be 23 students from abroad, who are studying at various technological institutions across Europe. Individuals with common interests will have the opportunity to discuss and exchange views on contemporary technological issues
  3. Attendance certificates with European recognition shall be issued.
  4. Direct contact with the labour market and visit to the premises of a company.
  5. Possibility of view of the city through its design.
  • Where will it be?

All lectures will be held in halls within the university. Any travel required during the program will be covered by the organization’s expenses.

  • Who will participate?

In addition to foreign students, this academic seminar can also be attended by students of the University of Applied Sciences, who are studying in Polytechnic, University of Technology or Agriculture.
