The board of BEST Thessaloniki with a mandate of one year is responsible for the strategic planning of the Local BEST Group and includes positions that are deemed essential for the development of the team, such as human resources management and public relations.

Boardies

  1.  President
  • Is the official representative of the team to all external bodies, as well as the European representative of BEST Thessaloniki in BEST.
  • Is responsible for coordinating the meetings of the team.
  • Is responsible for coordinating the board’s actions.
  1. Secretary
  • Is responsible for the drafting, editing and filing of all official documents of the organization, whether in paper or electronic form.
  • Is responsible for the proper flow of information and knowledge transfer, both within the team and across the organization.
  • Is responsible for keeping and sharing the minutes of the meetings.
  • Temporarily replaces the President in their absence.
  1. Treasurer
  • Is responsible for the management and supervision of BEST Thessaloniki’s financial resources (either material or monetary resources), with the help of the team’s accountant.
  • Is responsible for the information of the team about the transactions of the team’s account.
  1. VP for HR

The Vice President for Human Resources is in charge of the HR subteam, which they coordinate and supervise in order to optimally manage the human resources of BEST Thessaloniki and to maintain the smooth operation of the team. In more detail, VP for HR:

  • Is responsible for the training strategy of BEST Thessaloniki.
  • Is responsible for the recruitment strategy and the smooth integration of new members.
  • Maintains the motivation of the team members and enhances the connection and cooperation between them.
  • Manages the bylaws and membership positions.
  • Is responsible for ensuring that the various responsibilities are appropriately distributed to team members.
  1. VP for PR

The Vice President for Public Relations is in charge of the PR subteam of BEST Thessaloniki, which they coordinate and supervise with the main objective of promoting the organization and maintaining its image. In more detail, VP for PR:

  • Is responsible for maintaining the correct image of the organization towards the university, students and various companies.
  • Is responsible for the formulation of the strategy for the promotion of BEST’s activities.
  • Is responsible for coordinating the creation of the necessary materials to promote the activities and the organization as a whole, in cooperation with the Design Coordinator.
  • Manages the social media accounts of BEST Thessaloniki, as well as the team’s website.
  • Communicates with other non-profit organizations.
  1. VP for CR

  The Vice President for Corporate Relations is in charge of the CR subteam, which they coordinate and supervise aiming at the optimal communication with companies and various institutions, in order to seek funding for the various activities of the group. In particular, VP for CR:

  • Is responsible for developing a funding and fundraising strategy.
  • Is responsible for the overall supervision of funding.
  • Is responsible for overviewing communication with companies and maintaining good relations with them.

Non Boardies

  1. Vivaldi Coordinator
  • Oversees the adherence to the criteria and conditions for the conduct of various team activities, based on the organization’s records and protocols.
  • Responsible for the proper information of students about BEST Courses (academic seminars held throughout Europe) and for their smooth participation in them.
  1. Information Technology (Ι.Τ.) Coordinator
  • Is responsible for coordinating the IT Team, i.e., the team that deals with everything related to computer technology, such as networking, hardware, software.
  • Is responsible for the creation, maintenance and management of the team’s pages.
  • Is responsible for managing technical problems.
  1. Grants Coordinator
  • Is responsible for the coordination of the Grants Team. By “grants” we mean any property left by donated legacy or bequest to fulfill public benefit purposes.
  • Is responsible for pursuing bequests from corporations/organizations and overseeing such bequests.
